Zebras and Singing Teapots

This is a long overdue post, but I wanted to share some amazing thrift finds from a few weeks ago.

I found an oversized enamel and rhinestone zebra pendant! It is amazing, although Rosalynn thinks its a tad ridiculous. But come on, its a giant zebra!!

This baby is 3.5" long and 3.5" tall.

A few weeks ago, I was just meandering around a thrift store, and found a lovely teapot. Naturally, I opened the lid to see the insides-- some thrift store teapots can be pretty nasty on the inside. Instead, I saw a huge lump on the inside. I flipped the teapot over and lo and behold, gears for a music box!! I turned the gear and music started playing. SCORE.

Later, I discovered that the teapot only plays music when you're pouring the tea. There is a spring that sticks out the bottom, and once your place the teapot down on a surface the spring goes back in and stops the music.

Too bad its really hard to clean from that lump on the inside protecting the gears. I had to use a toothpick to get into the crevices! Oh well, its still amazing.
